I am a Christian. I am also a woman in her 30s, single, working as a molecular biologist in a cancer research lab. I play easy video games and have been a dungeon master (Dungeons and Dragons) for over 4 years for a group of Christian women.
The “Forever DM” is the organized friend. The person who can plan ahead. The reluctant leader. The person who is willing to have her plans fail. She is often the connection between different friends in the group. The forever DM always listens, sometimes challenges, and just wants to have a good time. Trustworthy as a person, but not always honest. DnD is a game of make believe with a lot of rules. The forever DM can choose to follow the rules or make their own. Being DM has taught me a lot about myself. It forces me to think quicker, forces me to be more flexible, and allows me to explore my creative thoughts.
This blog is to talk about my DnD campaign and to talk about my life. Being a Christian in the sciences is really fun. Being single in my 30s is also really fun. I’m not sure how this whole website things works, so I will make it up as I go along. Thanks for stopping by.
