Mice here and there. Pooping everywhere.
Every crack and crevice, each corner of the lab.
One step forward, three steps back.
Mouse traps don’t work. Pest control knows nothing.
Sticky traps don’t work. Mice are smart.
Peanut butter is sus. Nutella is sus.
Peppermint keeps them at bay, but only for a day.
Spray that peppermint every day.
Then comes Monday. Fresh droppings on the bench.
Why won’t they leave? What are they eating?
Remove all trash. Nothing left but plastics.
Still they come back. They took our coffee away.
It’s a war. Back and forth for months.
I’ve had enough. My knees can’t clean more floors.
Time to end this.
Big boss brings bane.
No more traps, no more sprays. Contraband poison.
Now we wait. Anticipating death.
Farewell to my tiny coworkers in the walls.
